Moksha Coffee Roasters Ethiopia Guji Natural Dry Process

Roasted 01/25/23 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Niche Zero grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. I had this at a coffee tasting and my normal at home pour over. The coffee tasting wasn't quite a cupping, but something close to one. The four coffees I had were dialed in to be a little thinner then I'd like, but were good to get the main notes. 36. Berry, sweet cocoa and nutmeg. Again very interesting, a bit different from what I had last time, I don't know if I prefer the new direction or old one.

My Friend's Coffee Roasters Nicaragua Los Congos Pacamara Dry Process

I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Niche Zero grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 48. Another amazing coffee from My Friend's Coffee Roasters. Lots of milk chocolate, honeysuckle and candied orange. It feels like what I typically find boring in espresso, chocolate and citrus notes, but there is something about it that I love. It is extremely well balanced and clean tasting, there is some very mild acidity, but it is incredibly smooth.

Lots of fruit notes, mostly pomegranate at the front followed by candied cherry, lemon preserves, guava and fairly acidic.

50. Another interesting coffee. There is a flavor that is something like a cross between a cranberry and a cherry with a lot of molasses-y sweetness and a nice thick buttery mouthfeel.

My Friend's Coffee Roasters Ethiopia Hamasho Dry Process

I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Niche Zero grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 46. Another interesting coffee, it is something of a typical Ethiopian coffee, not quite a fruit bombe, but close more aromatic than anything else. Very bright and tea-like, some brief peach notes, a little stonefruit, chocolate and lots of lemon it was very clean tasting, but left a lasting impression.
