Moksha Coffee Roasters Colombia Huila Mistico Washed Revisited

Roasted 01/25/23 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Niche Zero grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. I had this at a coffee tasting and my normal at home pour over. The coffee tasting wasn't quite a cupping, but something close to one. The four coffees I had were dialed in to be a little thinner then I'd like, but were good to get the main notes. 43. Grapes, fruit jam and chocolate. Very different then the last time I had it, it feels closer to my preference this time, but I miss some of the decadence that it had previously.

Roasted on 06/05/20 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Ditting KR1203 grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 6.375. Last time I had this at 6.675 and that was the high range of good this time. Still very syrupy with some graham notes and I prefer this as an espresso.

Roasted on 07/02/20 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Ditting KR1203 grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 6.125. Last time I dialed this in I was at 6.25 and it had a lot of blueberry notes, sadly it doesn't this time nor is it as clean tasting. Lots of milk chocolate notes with a thick body and some fruit notes. Ok for a regular drip.

Déjà brew Tectonic Ethiopia Hambella Revisted

Roasted on 06/21 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Ditting KR1203 grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 6.125. I forgot to put my grind setting last time. It taste better than last time, but not by much. Lots of nectarine notes, some astringent overburdened black tea and a little honey sweetness throughout. Not a fan of this still.
