Luminous Coffee Roasters Honduras Natural Anaerobic

Mango, BlackBerry, cherry and cocoa nibs. I am finally uploading some of my notes from last year where I didn't post. I can't remember much and unfortunately Luminous's website doesn't archive their old coffees which I imagine would be a fainting challenge seeing as how many different coffees they have throughout the year.

Cool Roast Curves Colombia El Diamante Sticky by Jose Giraldo Cafe 1959 Panela Sticky

I don't remember when this roasted I unfortunately didn't record it in my notes. Pink Bourbon Varietal Double Washed Anaerobic Process "Cafe 1959 produces yet another hyper digital, flavor resolution masterpiece! 72 hours or closed fermentation and 2 separate washing cycles makes this visualized feast a complex array of tongue melting harmony. Presented in light form, to showcase maximum processing power." Watermelon, Lemon-Lime and fruit punch.  I love the aesthetic of Cool Roast Curves, the retro-80s/90s is refreshing as well as the VHS inspired packaging.

Luminous Coffee Honduras 33hr Anaerobic Natural Juan Jose Ventura Fuentes

Roasted 03/22/23 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Niche Zero grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 36. Raspberry, Cacao, Mango and Black Cherry. I struggle to describe this as a fruit bomb, the cacao is a little overpowering and normally when I think of fruit bombs I think of something with more aqblueberry notes.

Luminous Coffee Colombia Anaerobic Natural Nuevo Amanecer

Roasted 03/22/23 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Niche Zero grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 41. Grape, cacao, sweet and well rounded. A little boring, but not bad. Would be good as an espresso.

Pull & Pour + Kaldi's Coffee Colombia El Vergel Java Koji Anaerobic

Roasted 03/023 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Niche Zero grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 41. Raspberry, kiwi, juicy, very sweet and a little mushroom? Interesting, not the best Koji I've had, I feel like I have had so many El Vergel coffees that I am growing tired of all Colombians.
