Barista Bitch Dialing In

 Roasted on 10/26/20 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Baratza Encore grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 16. Lots of Sweet lemon syrup throughout, starfruit-like acidity, some honey and floral hints at the end. I was surprised at how syrupy the mouth feel was.

I wish it was a tad bit lighter, but it was good nevertheless.

Predominantly dark rich tasting pomegranate notes, some honey and the a little mango at the end. I did enjoy this.

I have an interview at a new coffee shop today. Hopefully it goes well, but at the same time I could see myself enjoying a short break.

Well, I have been out of work since Sunday and looking for work. No hits yet unfortunately. I contacted 1oz coffee and the owner said their manager would get back to me soon, however I feel my concept of soon and theirs is vastly different.  I was touched on my last day by how many people asked if the owner of my former shop was because of how well regarded I was within the community.

My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 6.675. Not bad for a decaf, mostly chocolate notes some walnut and a hint of cherry at the end.
