Dialing in (again) 11/13/22

I've been working again as a barista again since this last Monday, but haven't felt like updating this since I have been struggling with two of my managers. Both are inept and I am struggling with developing expectations with them. 

Barefoot Redcab Espresso:
Roasted on 01/05/22
18.3g in 21 seconds 27g out 
Bright, hazelnut and dark chocolate

Barefoot Decaf Espresso:
Roasted on 01/05/22
Malty, burnt sugar and pecans

Barefoot coffee is agressive mediocre. I love how every time I change workplaces I seem to go I step down. I am currently working in corporate dining again, so you know coffee is never the focus and is an annoying afterthought that they are contractually obligated to provide, but no one in management has any desire to dedicate time or resources to.

Barefoot Coffee Roasters Organic Decaf Peru

I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Niche Zero grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 44. Nutty, malty, and weirdly floral. Honestly this is a pretty good decaf espresso and pour over, it won't wow you, but better than many decafs I've tried.

Roasted on 07/02/20 I brewed this in a Kalita wave using notneutral filters with a Ditting KR1203 grinder. My recipe is 28g coffee, 400g hot water not necessarily aiming for any particular time, but somewhere between four and five and half minutes. I try to do a 50g bloom in the first 45 seconds then three or four more pours. 6.125. All the way up to 6.375 was great. Lots of Dark chocolate notes some black cherry and unripe plum. I liked it, it would be amazing if it was slightly lighter.
